Yale Guarantee

£1,000 Anti-Snap Guarantee:

• Terms: Simply register your guarantee online within 30 days of purchase to ensure you are covered for five years. The cylinder must be correctly installed and maintained, the break-in must be reported to the police and Yale within 7 days, and the cylinder must be the initial point of forced entry.
• Claim Process: The homeowner must complete a claims form and provide supporting documents such as a crime reference number and photographic evidence of the damaged cylinder. Yale will send a engineer to inspect the cylinder and assess the claim.
• Exclusions: The guarantee does not apply if the hardware has been modified, repaired, or altered without Yale’s approval , if the break-in occurred due to any other component, or if the property is not occupied, furnished, or in residential use.

10-year Security Guarantee:

• To be eligible for the security guarantee, you must fill out and submit an online registration form within 14 days of the windows and doors being fitted.
• Security Requirements: Doors and/or windows must be securely closed, deadlocked with the key and the key removed from the cylinder lock, and not in night vent position.
• Claim Process: The homeowner must contact their installer and provide the crime number within 14 days of a forced entry, and allow a joint investigation by Yale, us, and the manufacturer.
• Guarantee Benefits: If the doors and windows meet the security standards and the forced entry was due to a manual intervention, Yale may repay the user’s insurance excess of up to £1,000.
• Exclusions: The guarantee does not cover forced entry through double doors or French doors, or through exposed parts of the locking mechanism.

Product Guarantee:

• Replacement policy: Yale will replace defective products on an exchange basis and may supply alternative products if the original ones are unavailable.
• Claim procedure: Any claim must be made with the seller and proof of purchase/ supply date is required. Yale must be given the opportunity to inspect the product or visit the site before claims can be considered.
• Exclusions: This guarantee does not cover products that have been incorrectly fitted, adjusted, maintained, operated, abused, vandalised or subjected to forces and stress beyond normal use.
